Goldenhour is an independent educational guide to making videos. Each topic is presented in seven short sections: an overview, why the skill matters, what you need, how to do it step by step, common mistakes to avoid, tips for better results, and a set of frequently asked questions.

The goal is plain language. We write for anyone who points a camera at something — whether it is a first short video on a phone or a more involved production — and wants to understand the craft without the jargon.

The guide is organised into five parts — Planning & Pre-Production, Camera & Composition, Lighting & Audio, Editing & Post-Production, and Publishing & Growth — so readers can browse by stage or jump straight to a topic.

Goldenhour is an educational guide to technique, not a review site. We describe equipment by type rather than recommending specific brands or products, and we do not accept payment for listings.
